*I had just gotten my wisdom teeth taken out less than a week before recording this, excuse any lisps!

Looking back on my high school career, I remember my experience with the high school soccer team.  Even though all four years were not very successful and filled with shame in some parts, my teams and I had to keep a positive outlook for the rest of the season, regardless of the past.

Our 2009 Varsity Soccer team started out fairly well, beating out Bishop Montgomery and giving good fights to other local schools.  However, after the turn of the new year things turned for the worse.  We never were able to achieve a single win in league.  The worst part was that we lost to Centennial High School, which has never happened in at least seven years.

After the season was over, our league record was zero wins, ten losses.  After each game we had to keep our heads high and keep our school spirit, no matter the case.  With a young team half comprised of freshmen, the odds were against us.  Next year there are high hopes for the soccer team as the majority of the team, once freshman, becomes more experienced with the game and the level of competition.

What I and others have learned that if facing adversity, there is usually something good just around the corner if you keep trying.
