OBJECTIVE To obtain an internship/COOP for a Consultant position within a dynamic organization that will allow me to further my knowledge base and experience within the field of Business and Information Systems.

EXPERIENCE

Summer 07-08 Dayton Development Coalition - Dayton, OH Intern

  • Organized the first “50 members in 50 days” non-profit campaign to obtain companies that would benefit from the coalition

    • Attended meetings and established new marketing efforts with potential new members

    • Created new pamphlets, new material, and presentation to present to potential new members

    • Researched potential new members, sent out letters and material about the campaign

    • Organized and coordinated quarterly meetings for volunteers

    • Coordinated the end of the campaign party, which included the 53 new members and all the volunteers

  • Created and maintained a single 2000 member database

    • Created a template that members of the database would fill out to make sure their information was correct

    • Keeping information up to date by cold calling, emailing, and sending out news letters

  • Helped coordinate and attend meetings to help establish the new brand for the Dayton region – “Get Midwest”

  • Handled all secretary duties and provided customer service for both the company and vice president of stakeholder relations (answering phone, cold calling, filing, mass mailing of material to members, scheduling appointments, planning company events, handling over dues etc.)

  • Established and maintained community guide that would be sent to companies around the Dayton area

Summer 03-06 Select Building Supply - Dayton, OH Sales and Office Manager

  • Provided inside sales support which resulted in new business orders

  • Coordinated and established company and supplier relations to obtain good quality product lines

  • Obtained new clientele by cold call techniques and establishing relationship through networking, attending local Home Builders Association (HBA) functions, participating in home shows, etc
    • Lead Marketing efforts for all HBA events (i.e. Dayton Homearama)
    • Managed product inventory
    • Provided customer service (i.e. Handled all inquiries on Quotes, Orders, Shipment Details and Invoicing)EDUCATION

After Graduation:
I will be attending Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.  I will be going to get my MBA and will be in the accelerated program that lasts for about 11 months.  I start before I actually graduate on June 8, so I will be pretty busy this spring quarter!
