I am a private, home-based tutor in Ealing W5, with easy access from other areas of London such as Chiswick, West Ealing, Shepherd's Bush, Hanwell, Richmond, Park Royal etc.


My Experience

I am a trained Maths specialist and I have taught in London schools for 40 years.  I have gained experience in selective, special needs and comprehensive schools. I have also been providing Private Tutoring for over 5 years.

I teach Maths to all ages up to GCSE, and other subjects to ages ranging from 4-11 years.  I tutor special needs pupils as well.

Every year I succesfully prepare students for Common Entrance exams.

My teaching method

My main objective is to teach an approach and technique to help solve the problem rather than just helping pupils with the answers.  I stretch them up to their potential and make their work challenging according to their ability.  I motivate them to enjoy their learning and gain confidence to succeed in their work.  I expect a high academic standard from my pupils as a result of my teaching.
 
When I first meet a pupil I assess their skills level. I put the results together with any specific concerns from their parents to establish a suitable tutoring plan for each pupil.
 
I use a variety of materials for tutoring purposes and always keep abreast of current methods and teaching requirements.
