Sgt. 1^st Class Russell P. Borea

Age: 38 Married 1 child  KIA 01/19/07

 

Tucson native, Russell was known for his athletic skills at Catalina High School.

Russell dies after a roadside bomb detonated near his vehicle in Mosul. Russell was a very calm and humble individual. In the Army since 1995, Russell left behind his wife Nicole and daughter Marialena. Joe Preter, a friend of Russell’s stated that Russell told him “I’m going to fight for this country…I want to do the right thing.”
