Dojo Policies

  1. All students need to be in the Dojo ready to start Aikido no later then 10 minutes past scheduled time, if there is less then 4 students (not including a Sensei) at class time there will be no Aikido class.
  2. If you are going to be late or not going to be at Aikido for any reason email the Sensei’s or tell them at the next class why you were not at class. If you need the Sensei’s email address or phone number ask them for it or contact Chaky to get it.
  3. If you for any reason do not plan on coming back to class for the rest of the semester, please email or tell a Sensei you are not going to be in class.
  4. For weekend classes and open mat times the Sensei or senior student planning to teach needs to know by end of class on Thursday’s how many students plan to attend.
  5. All decisions on class cancelation, students coming in late participating in Aikido class, etc will be the decision of the Sensei or senior student teaching class.  
  6. Keep fingernails and toenails cut short.
  7. Wash Gi after every Aikido class.
  8. If you come in late quietly sit at the edge of the mat until a Sensei acknowledges you to come onto the mat.
  9. Remove all jewelry (watches, rings, necklaces, etc) before starting class.
  10. If you need to leave the mat for any reason let a Sensei know.
  11. If you get hurt during Aikido class let a Sensei know.
