Audio and Hi-Fi

An Intro:
In Ep. 2 we did our first audiophile segment and wanted to relay some links to any and all interested.
First site I think anyone who wants to upgrade their headphones should visit is HeadRoom. I still visit this site to get ideas when I know I'm ready for and upgrade. Great place to start because you can narrow your search by style, type, and application. They have almost all the respected brands, and halfway decent prices. Not the lowest prices, and their reviews are admittedly biased, but take what you learn here, and visit the Head-Fi  forums next. From there, do your homework and take the plunge.
One tip, spend as much as you can, and get the model above what you're eyeballing. Treat yourself. After all, music is a passion, enjoy it to the fullest!
I want to make a correction to something I said during the podcast. At work I don't use KSC-75's anymore, I now use the OVC HC1000's which I didn't recommend because they're a bit obscure, and can't whole-heartedly endorse.  Read a review I wrote on them here to find out why. Bottom line, there's a comfort issue, and they're cheaply made, but if you can find them at Head-Direct on sale for about $30, they're worth the money. I like the sound quality much more than the Koss ear clips, but if you like bass, these aren't for you.
There's so much to cover in the world of hi-fi, so I'm gonna stop here and say, if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me KnowNothingTim@gmail.com. I may not have all the answers, but I can at least show you where to look.
Stay tuned, I'll be adding a further look into hi-fi soon. The next installment will be on portables.
