The Draven are excellent craftsmen and excel in the arts of woodworking, rope craft and valuable metals.
Language
Draven speak their own language, Dravani, with many different dialects. They also speak the Trader Tongue to communicate with humans and other races.
Physical Traits
Humanoids with longer limbs and usually slighter build then humans. They always have pointed elongated ears and high eyebrows. Another common feature is almond-shaped eyes and very little body hair.
Lifespan
Draven can live up to 1000 years of age and therefor have a great sense of self. They take life very slowly and are slow to react to changes.
Settlements
Most Draven settlements are deep in forest glens or hidden mountain valleys. Their buildings are usually built out of natural surrounding materials such as stone and wood.
Family Organization
The Draven family consists of husband, wife, and children. It is not unheard of for a Draven male to have more than one wife. However, Draven law allows for wives to challenge each other in blood battles. The reward might be the honor of First Wife, or simply the death of one’s rival. A smart Draven male does not marry more than one woman at a time, lest his household fall into blood passion and chaos. It adds honor to a male when his wife is strong, but it looks bad for a male if his household is torn apart by strife and death.
