The Biggest Losers

A  Health & Welfare weight lose program
   

Worthy Grand Knights you may have seen or heard of the program on television called "The Biggest Losers" -   in our continuous effort to promote Health & Welfare we invite each council to a fun and healthy contest of weight loss. Here are the rules:

1) Each council selects up to 5 men to undergo a four month  weight lose program by exercising, jogging walking and/or dieting if medically permitted. (If one or two people choose to participate then he or both will represent your council.)

2) Each contestant is trusted with providing his true weight at the start of the program. Weight should be recorded to the nearest pound.
3) The starting weight of each participating council member or member has to be received by me no later than 1-3-2010 via e-mail at:  steve.garofalo@anixter.com    

Councils or members reporting after the Jan 3, 2010 deadline will be assessed a 1 pound penalty.   

*** No one reporting beyond the 6^th of January will be allowed to participate.
                 
      I will require the council name and number, along with the name and weight of the participant(s).  

4) The contest will begin on Jan 2, 2010, and the ending date is April 30^th, with the winners announced on May 7-8-9, 2010 at our State convention.

5) The winning council is determined by the total combined weight lost by its participating members divided by the number of participants (i.e: average weight loss).
        
A  prize will awarded for  the 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place winning councils.

A special prize will be awarded to that individual that has lost the most weight. He will be the Biggest Loser

Each DD has been asked to encourage and to promote this program. We ask you the Grand Knights to also participate or promote this program.

All the participants will be losers, the only winners will be their hearts.
