Volunteers are essential at the Karpeles Manuscript Museum. Volunteers assist with daily museum activities, educational programs, special events, outreach programs and much more. We have a variety of opportunities for different levels of interest. Adult volunteers must be at least 18 years old and enjoy working with people. Office/Clerical Aide – Office/clerical volunteers are on call to provide assistance with a variety of administrative tasks. Duties vary, but may include record-keeping, stuffing envelopes, filing, answering the phone, and more. Volunteers are needed at various times throughout the year.
Special Events – Many volunteers are needed to assist with special events. Volunteers help with interactive activities, set-up and tear-down, and other special event needs.

These activities occur throughout the year.
Tour Guide – Guides lead groups of visitors on tours of current exhibits while providing background information on each area. Tours usually last 1 hour. Tour schedules vary from week to week all year long. Present educational programs to classes visiting the museum. Programs are coordinated with school academic requirements, change with the seasons, and are offered throughout the year.
