Week #1 : July 27th - July 31st

Monday A-Day:

8th Grade Procedures 

Tuesday B-Day: Today you will attend your Core 3 and Core 4 classes only.  During Core class time, we will discuss objectives for quarter 1, classroom procedures, grading and other nuts and bolts having to do with Language Arts.  ______________________________________________

Wednesday C-Day: You will see all of your core teachers today.  Class times will be shorter than during the rest of the week.   All 8th grade teachers will be reviewing HOWL procedures with you today.  You will only need your agenda in my class.

Thursday A-Day:  Warm-up on morphemes; study sheet distributed and reviewed; testing explained

Poetry Activity using Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken"  Teacher think aloud showing students a new and different way to look at poetry.  Next week we will begin SOAPS method and TP-CAT to look at a few more poems.
