2) warm-up - analogies
3) critically evaluating a website
4) citing a source
5) "How To Research" interactive PowerPoint/guided notes
6) Guided Notes
7) choosing a topic/prethinking
 
Week of January 19th-22nd:
7) How to take notes using a template
8) Begin researching and taking notes - we will go through the steps Ms. Willis taught us one by one - using your topic for research
    a) Destiny - find the call number of book source you need
    b) NCWiseOwl
    c) Webquest
    d) Google Advanced Search
    e) Google Directory
 
Week of January 24th - 28th:
9) Complete research- using Note Taking Document- online and book sources
10) Analogy warm-ups and homework
11) Enrichment - Essay re-writes for everyone - even A+ papers!
12) Research Test
 
 
Week of February 1st - 5th:
13) Analogy homework
14) Color-Coding Self-Check using Research Focus Questions (pre and post assessment)
15) Tuesday ONLY - after school work session for students who need to use the laptops to finish research
16) Mini-Lesson: Writing Interview Questions - email questions to Scientists, Doctors, Professors, or some other authority on topic (this will be provided to you)
17) Create Works Cited page
18) Photo Story 3 - Storyboarding Lesson
19) Enrichment - Essay re-writes for everyone - even A+ papers!
