WHAT YOU CAN DO

QUICK FACTS

THE BASIC FACTS

Children in China's rug industry often work in cramped quarters, crouching over their work in poorly lit rooms. The workers often develop spinal deformities from persistent crouching and weak eyesight and respiratory ailments from exposure to a lot of dust and wool. Many of the workers don't receive wages.

BEGINNINGS

Some boys said that a well dressed man had told their parents he was offering scholarships for young boys to attend a school in Thailand.  The man said," Let me take your child back to Chaing Mai he will learn much." Most families fall for that trick and let their sons go and once in Chaing Mai he sells them as slaves
