What about testing a child who is not reading well?

Testing a child who is not reading or is not reading well is an

important part of the educational process. When a child

is struggling with learning to read, it is important to determine the

reading readiness of the individual learner.

The Woodcock-Johnson III Achievement test is highly

recommended for testing slow or non readers. This test is

individually administered. This test allows the administrator to

make observations that are not possible with a group administered

test.

The Woodcock-Johnson III test requires little or no reading to determine your child's achievement levels in reading, writing, math and other areas of learning. This test can also determine how your child mentally processes information. Understanding how a child processes information is especially important when there are concerns about reading delays.

The Woodcock-Johnson III test will give you valuable insight into your child's strengths and weakness.  It will allow you to see your child's developmental readiness and their academic progress in concrete measurable terms.

The Woodcock-Johnson III test provides a very impressive student profile that gives you an extensive understanding of your child's accomplished academic achievements and learning strengths.

The test results will help direct you to an educational approach that will be most effective for your individual child.

Regular testing will allow you to document the progress your child is making and validate your ability to educate your children in the comfort and safety of your home.

"Most teachers waste their time by asking questions, which are intended to discover what a pupil does not know; whereas, the true art of questioning has for its purpose to discover what the pupil knows or is capable of knowing. "
