Our tenth KlezCalifornia Yiddish Culture Festival is on Presidents' Day Weekend, February 18-20, 2012, at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco, 3200 California St. (at Presidio Ave.). Enjoy a holiday weekend packed with more than fifty hands-on Yiddish culture and klezmer music workshops for people of all ages and musical backgrounds: 

► FREE Workshops Shabbes (Sabbath, Saturday) afternoon, 2:00-5:15pm

► THE KLEZ-X Reunion Concert, with Daniel Hoffman (from Israel), Saturday at 8:00pm, followed by dance party with klezmer dance master Steve Weintraub (from Chicago) 

► FREE Community Yiddish Sing-Along, lyric books provided, Sunday 5:00-6:30pm, led by Sharon Bernstein

► Workshops with experts in klezmer dance, Yiddish songs, proverbs and phrases, Yiddish literature in translation, East European Jewish history, and more!

Klezmer Workshops for all levels, taught by THE KLEZ-X musicians Daniel Hoffman, Sheldon Brown, Stephen Saxon, and others

Open Mic Cabarets, Sunday and Monday 11:45am-12:45pm, organized by Achi Ben Shalom 

Youth Program for ages 6+, including kids’ klezmer ensemble, crafts, Yiddish stunts & dances, led by Gerry Tenney
