General Rules
- I reserve the right to make up new rules or change existing rules as I see fit and at anytime. If you don't like it then tough biscuits, organize your own races! But seriously any rule changes I make will always have the goal of making racing even and fair or reduce the risk of crashing and injury.
- Follow
the instructions of any race marshal or race manager at all times.
- Races
will start at the advertised time according to the race managers
watch. If you are late for your time trial start you may begin
immediately but your time will not be adjusted from your official
start time.
- All
riders who wish to race must supply their name, IC/passport number, and contact details for themselves and next of kin.
- Respect the grade that you are placed in. The more races you turn up too the easier it is for us to grade you appropriately.
- Respect riders of all abilities, rather than berating cyclists who make mistakes take the time to educate them so everyone learns better racing skills.
Racing Rules
- All
roads should be considered open and un-managed even if race marshals
are present.
- Take all normal precautions when turning into or
crossing roads.
- Always
ride on the left hand side or shoulder of the road.
- Descend
under control and never cross the center line.
- Do not attempt to draft off passing vehicles.
- When
sprinting for the finish you must hold a straight line once you are
500m out from the line. You may not make body contact or
serve into your opponent.
- Time trials will have two classes: With Aerodynamic Components (helmets, arero bars, disc/5-spoke wheels etc...) or Traditional Components
Punishments
- Anyone
who jeopardizes the safety of themselves and others, or is seen to
break the rules will receive one verbal warning.
- Anyone on a verbal warning who repeat offends with 3 months may not be allowed to start in future races at the organizers discretion.
- This
is not negotiable so race responsibly as we don't want to scrape you
off the road.
