Hi, my name is Louise Corcoran, I've been skeleton racing for New Zealand since 2000, I've competed in over 60 international events including 4 world championships, and the 2006 Winter Olympics (placed 12th), last year I won the overall title of Americas Cup Champion after winning 2 of the 6 Americas Cup races and gaining more points than any other athlete, it was very cool to stand on the podium and recieve my gold medals, it gave me a taste of what the Olympic podium will be like. I raced in Whistler earlier this year and loved the new track there, it's very fast, I think I'll hit 140kmph next february during the Olympics, that is crazy fast, very exhillerating, you actually feel the danger at that speed.
This site is to help me raise the money I need to train, qualify, compete and win in 2010. There are 8 qualification races to get through between November and January, and a huge amount of money to raise through sponsorship, donations, advertising, working and selling my house. I hope you will support my bid to be the first kiwi to win gold at the Winter Olympics and either donate, advertise or sponsor me. You can use the links below to make a donation, purchase advertising, or become a corporate sponsor. My comany Corcoran Racing Ltd will recieved all the money and issue GST receipts for those who need them ( feel free to contact me if you need more information lou at nzskeletonracer.com). Advertising is available on my campaign site, which is not yet up and running but will be prior to the start of the season (Oct 09), you can also purchase advertising space for your company name or logo, or a charity of your choice on my sled, and helmet.
Thank you for visiting and thank you for your support.
Cheers
Lou
