About

“No one can win against kipple," he said, "except temporarily and maybe in one spot, like in my apartment I've sort of created a stasis between the pressure of kipple and nonkipple, for the time being. But eventually I'll die or go away, and then the kipple will again take over. It's a universal principle operating throughout the universe; the entire universe is moving toward a final state of total, absolute kippleization.”

from "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick

KippleZone was created in May of 2005 and is owned and operated by me, C.A. Chicoine. It came from the desire to write my own fanfiction involving the world of Blade Runner. And to feature some of the other wonderful fanfiction written by others, based on this intriguing theme.

I was properly introduced to the movie Blade Runner sometime around 1997, after the purchase of Vangelis' Blade Runner album–-me being a big Vangelis fan--coinciding with the release of the Director's Cut. With the purchase of my first computer in early 1999, it was then that I got involved with the Blade Runner online community at BladeZone's Off-world Forums, where I eventually became a moderator before finally becoming the administrator from 2006 to 2010. And, in 2003, I also contributed to BRmovie's "Signs that you're an obsessive BR fan...".

In 2007, I wrote lyrics to the music of Marco Spatuzzi for Blade Runner: The Rock Project. Also in 2007, I revived the OFF-WORLD NEWS–-a Blade Runner newsletter–-from its slumber, until November 2019 when I retired it.

Besides the DADoES/Blade Runner fanfiction stories, Tomorrow Started and Awaiting Dawn, I've written the Blade Runner related articles, Douglas Trumbull: In Retrospect, CITYSPEAK Revisited, and A Blimp Is Born: From Concept to Screen to Fandom --The Blade Runner Blimp; and a crossover fanfiction story, Blade Runner: The Peter Griffin Cut. And I researched, compiled, and wrote KIPPLEPEDIA-a DADoES and Blade Runner Glossary.

In 2017, both the Off-world News and I were mentioned in Paul M. Sammon's latest edition of "Future Noir: The Making of Blade Runner". It is available in stores and online now. For more information about the book, you may go to the Future Noir: The Making of Blade Runner Facebook page.

I reside in Massachusetts, writing books, poetry, lyrics, and music.

"Have a better one!"
