Foundation Steps Up to Help Library During Budget Reductions

Due to budget cuts in Nashville, the Kingston Public Library was facing a $4000 loss in revenue earmarked to purchase new books for its patrons. The Foundation, who currently uses used book sale monies to purchase children's books, has agreed to assist the Library by picking up the state lease agreement - the purchase of ten new books per month at a projected annual cost of $1600.00. "I personally want to thank the Foundation for their help, " said Library Director Steve Jacks." They have always come through when we needed them."
