Sitting Pretty..................22 AM PSA Exhibition The judging took place on Friday with over 600 prints sent in from all over the world. It was a very interesting show displaying many different styles and techniques using both digital and traditional photography. Visitors from out of the community made many favorable comments and expressed interest in joining our club. Congratulations to Pat Mark who had a print accepted, she was the only KCCC member that entered. Wi Fi for meeting room I recently attended a meeting of the Budget Committee of the Civic Association and made yet another request for the installation of a Wi Fi network for the meeting room. I was assured it would be brought up and discussed for consideration. Color Management There was a discussion regarding acquiring a calibrating unit for use with projector, computer and printers. The idea being that members would load the software and check out the hardware periodically to balance their equipment; this way everyone would be on the same page in regard to color balance. Those who attended the last Programs meeting seen a demonstration on how this would work and its benefits. This should be discussed among the membership, an attempt to get good pricing will be made but a method of purchasing needs further thought. The rents going up A Committee is presently re-assessing rents and use fees for association property. This will mean a slight increase in hall rental fees for clubs. The amount of increase should be in the 10/15 dollar range, this is very reasonable for our year round use. Show and Share night Last show and share night was great, everyone had a good time guessing what the macro photos were then got to see if they were right. It was a real fun evening. Ron |
