BIOGRAPHY

Borned in 1974 on febuary 26th, Kim is stemming from a family where liberty of expression and creativity were very much valued and encourage. Child of artcraft, she shared her games between her father’s clay statuettes and her mother’s emanel on copper.

Clay and enamel on her fingers, Kim spent many evenings creating
with her family. Those magical moments remain unforgettable for her.

During her childhood and teen years,
music and arts were the young women’s main interests. It brought her to study graphism in CEGEP, in the late 80s.

Kim learned, in those three years, to meet costumer’s needs, but supervision was then so present that she could not fully express her artistic side.

Kim graduated in 1990 and started her graphist career. A few yews later she gave birth to two children. Her family is her number one priority and her greatest source of inspiration.

Still working in infographism, her appetite for creation was not satisfied, so she decided, in 2001, to take an oil-painting class with «Coopérative artistique Les Etchemins». Right away her teacher saw in her a true budding artist with a great potential, so he invited her to expose her work in the Lévis area.

Kim established herself really fast on the "visual-art" scene and got in an important and known gallery in Quebec city. Some of her paintings are now part of a private international collections.

Nothing can stop her from paintings. It became such a important need, that she quit her job (as a graphist) in 2007 to devote herself to her artistic development. She converted a room in her house as a studio and it is now open to the public by appointment. Her next goal are to get known in Canada and who knows, on the international scene too! A breakthrough is already made in Europe through a "Collectif d'artistes, Les Amis des Arts", in Aix-en-Provence, France in august 2007.

Her style and approach are very much influenced by her childhood. "first paintings were done by instinct, like children draw naturally without paying any attention to the people around them."

Her works reflects harmony, serenity, peace and balance. When you look at her painting you are a little happier and you get
a taste of the sweetness of life.
