Jesus In Japan

A Chronicle of my Life as a Missionary.

Greetings in the name of our Living Savior!

Welcome, my friends. I'm glad you've come. May the Lord's peace be with you.

My name is Kim. In September 2008, I began my service with LCMS World Mission as a volunteer missionary to Japan. For two and a half years, I will serve with the Volunteer Youth Ministry (VYM) as a part of the Ablaze! movement. I'm also now considered a "GEO" missionary.

My main job is teaching English. Right now, I'm living in Tokyo and teaching at two different churches: Suginami Seishin Lutheran Church, and Omiya Zion Lutheran Church. My placement changed this spring, due to the closure of the Lutheran Language Institute.

I offer this website as an account of the ministry to which I've been called. I invite you to look around and learn more. I will periodically post blog entries and photos of my experiences.
