Bears

a.k.a: Nothing.

There are 3 main types of bears in North America. The Black Bear, The Brown Bear and the Grizzly. There's also the Polar Bear but you don't see very many below Northern Canada so we'll ignore them. Bears are omnivores and eat just about anything meat, plants, people, fish, the list goes on. They are opportunistic predators and a large number of bear attacks occur in campsites when food is left out. NEVER bring food in your tent while camping! Bears in Yellowstone Park have figured out how to tear doors car off to get to the Twinkies (bears love Twinkies)  inside. It sounds funny - unless you are in the car. By and large though bears are prone to run away from humans and most bear attacks are just due to either stupidity or ill luck (both in the case of the human).
Color varies as well; some Black Bears are brown and some Brown Bears are black; size is usually a good indicator - the bigger it is the faster you should run.
They are hunted for meat and fur but the
meat tends to be pretty greasy.

The Black Bear. Smallest of the 3 flavors of bear it is still a very dangerous predator. It is also the most laid-back of the three. But just because its about the same size (height wise) as a man doesn't mean it can't or won't tear your head off if you surprise or annoy it.

The Brown Bear is a bear. To be continued.

The easiest way to tell what the difference between bears is to follow these rules. If its small and kinda cute - its probably a Black Bear. If it looks grumpy and is big - Its probably a Brown Bear. If its huge, grumpy looking and chewing your leg off - its probably a Grizzly.
