Kijana Teens is a youth empowerment program that is run by Alliance for Multicultural Community Services; a non-profit organization that helps people achieve independence. The Kijana Teens Youth Program's mission is to help the youth of its diverse community stay off the streets, safe, and keep them from being susceptible to drugs and crime. While on this mission, Kijana Teens' youth counselors and their program coordinator have managed to assist the youth become literate by impacting them with knowledge, skills, and respect necessary to become responsible and productive community members.
