Registration is currently open.
Pre-registration for Kids & Critters takes place between April and the end of school each year. Knowing that changes are inevitable during the summer, Kids & Critters event coordinators will re-confirm all pre-registered schools in August or once school starts (prior to the event). The pre-registration letter and form are provided for download below.
Kids & Critters Participation Requirements
Get Administration Approval through you school. Complete the Kids & Critters Pre-registration form, during April and May.(attached below)
Complete the Kids & Critters Registration Packet, during August and September (K&C fax cover form, K&C Group Enrollment Form, and Youth Protection Standards Form), which can be downloaded below.
Send registration forms back to Dallas County AgriLife Extension Office. See Contact Us page. Obtain chaperons per school district guidelines. Arrange transportation to the event.Arrange lunch for all participating students, teacher, bus drivers, and chaperons. Shelter and tables are provided for "brown bagging" a picnic. Lunches may be stored on site during the event.
Individuals with disabilities who require an auxiliary aid, service, or accommodation to participate in this event are encouraged to contact the Dallas County AgriLife Extension Office for assistance in advance.
