
Have
you ever dreamed of paddling down a river all the way from its beginning to its
end?
Well,
last summer the Kansas Riverkeeper, Laura Calwell, did just that. She kayaked all the way from
the beginning of the Kansas River in Junction City, to the end of the Kansas
River in Kansas City, where the river runs into the Missouri River. That's 171
miles! It took 11 days (plus one). She camped on sandbars the whole way down
the river, met tent toads, had a party, and saw the entire amazing river.
