IAnd we are off with the new website! Below are pictures from Uluru/Ayers Rock where I went in March 2008. There are some places in Australia you just have to see as they are unique. One is the Great Barrier Reef (done August 2006), the Nullabor Desert (done April 2007) and the Red Centre, Uluru. It is massive, red, hollow (it rings if you hit it!) and all alone in the middle of the desert. To the left is a picture showing the streaks. The right hand picture is of me- just as the sun had risen. Last year we did a lot of traveling. Please see links. England/Denmark. Phuket.
This picture is May 2008. I made chocolate pudding (from scratch) in my great-great grandmothers' gold trimmed sorbet glasses. They were a wedding gift to her in 1903- so over 100 years old!
Diggie (my grandfather) gave them to me and it is a shame not to ever use them. Also, it felt like a fitting tribute to my grandmother who died on May 9th. The pudding didn't last long with Steve and the twins.
ANKLE UPDATE
The physiotherapist gave me the go ahead for 30 minutes of brisk walking a day with 2-3 times a week, doing 9 minutes of walk, one minute of running. The ankle is still jamming in the front (not as bad as before) so we will be taking this slowly. I'll still be doing the pool rehab to help the flexibility but it feels like I am moving closer to tennis and real exercise with the walking.
BANGKOK UPDATE
Steve is in Bangkok the last two weeks of May doing an initial transitional hand-over for his new job. I've put feelers out for a job and it looks like we will be moving end of June. Which is good as I am ready to be doing regular work again. However, I have plenty of big moving tasks like disposing of furniture, sorting the storage and send items and organising all the random bits and pieces.
