Key Club 101
What is Key Club?
Key Club is an international service organization that was founded in May 1925 in California. It has three organizational levels: International, District, and Local Club. Key Club is also only one branch of the complete service family; Builders' Club (for middle schoolers), Circle K (for college students), and Kiwanis (for adults) are just a few of the other groups.
International Mission Statement
"Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character, and develop leadership."

Served as a past or present committee chair
Past or present Convention award/contest winner
What Happens if I Don't Meet the Requirements?
Each month, a list of members in bad standing will be compiled by your class directors. After the executive board reviews the lists, the class directors will have individual meetings with these members so that these members can make up any missing requirements. If members repeatedly end up in bad standing, they may be put on probation, deducted hours, or asked to leave the club. A final list of members in bad standing will be compiled at the end of the year, and these members will either not be allowed to rejoin the club next year, or asked to fulfill extra requirements.
However, we do understand that there are exceptions, so the executive board will review each case individually. If you have questions about these requirements, please feel free to email us!
Why am I required to raise a certain amount of money?
Although Key Club receives some donations from various organizations, it still takes lots of funds to implement projects and events like socials for the members. Thus, the only way to raise these funds is by asking all members to raise a certain amount of money by the end of the year. By requiring a certain amount, we also ensure that ALL members participate in the fundraisers and it is fair for everyone since all operating expenses ultimately go back towards the members.
