Happy Anniversary!

Well...today is our wedding anniversary.  Would you believe that Lindsay and I have been married for 5 years?!  We are so lucky to have each other, and I can definitely say that despite how happy I was to get married, I am even happier 5 years later.  I can't wait to spend forever with her.  Here is an interesting fact....I had heard in the past that divorce rates are not that great among Latter Day Saints, and indeed, the rate is about 24% for all LDS marriages.  This is about the same as the overall national rate.  However, this number is very different for marriages between two members.  Only about 13% of marriages between two members end in divorce.  The reason why it's 24% for all LDS marriages?  That's because 40% of marriages between a member and someone of another faith end in divorce.[reference1], [reference2]  I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm very happy that Lindsay and I are so much alike.  We have all the same values, and even the same twisted sense of humor.  I'm so glad that we are going to stick together forever.

We had a great time in Salt Lake this month.  It was really great to see everyone.  The weirdest part of the trip was that it felt like we had never left Utah.  I guess it was pretty easy to forget that I had a job on the other side of the country.  Luckily, it was a nice long trip, and we were able to see and do a lot.  We're hoping to make it back to SL in December, but the plans are still up in the air.
