The Active Crew of Ketching Up... Mom & Dad ketching some sun and warm weather in Mexico; Family time to ketch up with cousins and grandparents in Bald Head Island, NC; Wils ketching lizards (that had no interest in being 'un' caught) in Tampa; Cooper getting ready to ketch the bus for the very first time for Kindergarten at Captain Robert Gray; Griffin proudly displaying his ketch; Cap'n Noel letting his crew do the work; Noel and Ashe ketching Mahi-Mahi off the coast of PV, Mexico...lets hope there are lots more where those came from!
If you approach each new person you meet in a spirit of adventure you will find yourself endlessly fascinated by the new channels of thought and experience and personality that you encounter. | Water Babies...simce they could crawl, they've all loved anything and everything to do with the water. At 4, Griffin helped to crew our first sailboat, The Griffins Wil, from Portland, OR, to Astoria, OR. Here he is with Wils at the end of the trip. They enjoyed a great weekend in Astoria and each came home "decorated" after the Crab Festival. The boys enjoy seafood, catching it and eating it. In both Kindergarten and First Grade, Wils listed sushi as his favorite food on his lists! Here the boys are on their first clamming trip with Noel. Playing in the sand, getting wet and enjoying yummy clams at the end of the day---what could be better? The boys are helping to pull in blue crabs in North Carolina. We were guests aboard The Good Chemistry, Grandma & Grandpa DesMarteau's Trawler. Captain Jack Sparrow had best beware...there is a new breed of Pirates on the seas! Ahoy! Arrrgggh! ________________ One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish.... Other than reading about sailboats, fish and sea creatures, we enjoy Dr. Seuss books. Here are Seussical words of wisdom from one of our favorites!
Oh the places you will go... Congratulations! -Dr. Seuss |
