Both the title and the main idea of this novel came out of a discussion on The Anomaly, the web forum for Where the Map Ends. It's my first attempt at a real live sci-fi novel. At 102,500 words it's pretty much finished, save for taking it to my writers' group so they can tear it apart and tell me how to re-write it.

It's about Petra Torrento, a young space pilot a hundred years in the future, who flies a research mission to Venus and discovers it is not as barren as she thought. While delving into the mysteries of the veiled planet, she also discovers how to quit hiding, herself.
