Link to Beyond Kimchi Hello, Grace! (: Concept The idea behind your website is great! Learning how to cook requires lots of clear and easy steps, and your website does just that for people who are trying to learn how to make Korean food. The "Meet the Dishes" is a great opportunity for readers to get acquainted with the various Korean dishes, especially if they are foreign to the food and the culture. The personal touch and the more cultural outlook you present on your "Memories" page makes your website unique from other websites who may have similar objectives as you. Audience Definition You are targeting people familiar with Korean cuisine in addition to those who are completely new to it. So in short, one is an experienced audience, and one is more of a beginner's level. It is difficult to target two kinds of audiences, and you are doing a great job by giving those familiar with the food the option of going straight to the recipes instead of having to read an introduction of the dishes. However, even after reading the "Meet the Dishes" and the "Korean Ingredients," it will be hard for those who are new to Korean food to remember everything they have read (especially since different dishes require different ingredients). Perhaps for each recipe, you can put text boxes on the side of the page that offer reminders and tips to the beginner cooks; this is similar to the example we saw from the Wired Moon speakers who informed us about writing on the web. That way, the recipes will be even clearer and easier for those who are not as familiar with Korean ingredients and foods, and the more advanced cooks can ignore the boxes if they do not want to read them. Project Plan In general, your Business Plan and your project are wonderful! I especially like how you added the reviews and Youtube videos on the recipes. You have thought through your project in-depth and are on the track to an awesome website (:. Clarity of Writing Writing is clear and concise. However, I noticed on your "Meet the Dishes" page that you use a lot of italics. Bolding the words or color-coding them are better options. Random Suggestions
