DANIEL:  Touchstone of Prophecy

Theologians typically recognize that Daniel details history up to 165 b.c.  After that, interpretations split into differing opinions.  But what if we continued to follow the trail of history another 230 years beyond this point?  Can it be proved, or disproved, that all the prophecies of Daniel have already been fulfilled?  Daniel: Touchstone of Prophecy,” explores the five major prophecies of this pivotal, Old Testament book verse by verse, justifying every step of the way with Scripture and history.  The author discovers his pursuit takes him a little outside popular explanations, and turns up some surprising answers.  He shows how little “horn” of the beast in Daniel 7 is not;  a modern remnant kingdom of the Roman Empire, or the Catholic Papacy, or an ancient Roman Emperor, or the Antichrist.  Then he suggests it is something that has been plainly in sight of history all along.  You will not only learn why the prophecy of Daniel 9 is divided into “weeks,” you will see who are the real “prince,” and the true Covenant Maker.  Discover why the 2300 evenings and mornings of Daniel 8 are not exactly to be found on any calendar, and how the 1290 and 1335 days in Daniel 12 bring us to an often neglected turning point in Jewish history, significant enough to have been made a holiday.  Even if you end by disagreeing with the author’s compelling arguments, we hope you will conclude with him that Daniel is truly a unique touchstone whereby we may test our methods for interpreting all prophecy.   (300 pages)
