Nellie's welcomed John and Di Cullen for an excellent evening's entertainment on Monday 16 February 2009. John and Di run the Beacon Folk Club at nearby Tunbridge Wells, but were enticed to Tonbridge to perform a repertoire of traditional and modern compositions with harmony singing and guitar. The gathering was strongly supported by local floor-singers, and the club enjoyed record attendance.
