If you send me an e-mail, please have name of company on subject line.  Please do not have any attachments.

I am unemployed and I am looking for part-time work.  One or two days a week.

Graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1992 with a BA Degree in Political Science and a minor in Economics.

Businesses need capital to pay their employees, rent, property taxes, plant & equipment, research & development, and other things.

Worked for Movie Gallery from July 1999 to November 2009 as a cashier/customer service.

I was a top sales person of electronic discount rental cards.  Sometimes, I did more than 40 percent of the store's sales goal.  I sold a lot of the cards when they cost $19.99 and were worth $27 and cards that cost $49.99 were worth $75.  Many customers over the years thanked me for the movie recommendations and customer service I provided them with.

MY SALES SKILLS

Sold 313 electronic discount rental cards which was 45 percent of my store's goal of 692 cards during the four week Q1 2002 sale.  The sale was from March 11 to April 7.  Worked less than 125 hours during the Q1 2002 sale.

The cards sold for $19.99 and were worth $27.

313 cards multiplied by $19.99 = $6256.87

During the Q4 sale, Q3 2001 sale, and Q2 2001 sale, Movie Gallery sold rental cards for $19.99.  Customers could obtain tickets for 8 movies for $19.99.  Customers could obtain tickets for 6 games for $19.99.

Sold 227 tickets during the Q4 2001 sale.   The Q4 sale was from November 20, 2001 to
January 1, 2002.  Worked less than 170 hours during the Q4 2001 sale.

Sold 130 cards during the Q3 2001 sale.  The Q3 2001 sale was from August 27 to September 9, 2001.  Worked less than 75 hours during the Q3 2001 sale.

Sold 225 cards during the Q2 2001 sale.  The Q2 2001 sale was from June 13 to July 4, 2001.  Worked less than 125 hours.

313 cards + 227 cards + 130 cards + 205 cards = 875 cards

875 multiplied by $19.99 = $17,491.25

Number of hours worked during card sales less than 125 + 170 + 75 + 125 = 495

$17,491.25 divided by 495 hours = $35.335859

HOW THE ELECTRONIC DISCOUNT RENTAL CARDS WERE SOLD

One.

Had the following sign facing customers.

NEW RELEASE MOVIES WITHOUT CARD

$19.99 divided by $3.89 = 5.138817

NEW RELEASE MOVIES WITH CARD

$27 divided by $3.89 = 6.940874

I worked for other companies before Movie Gallery.

TAXES AND NEW HAMPSHIRE

The business profits tax is more than 8 percent now.  The rooms and meals tax is 9 percent now.

I would like the state business profits tax to be 5 percent or less and for local governments to be allowed to have a 2 percent local business profits tax that would have the money from the local business profits tax go to where the main location is.  Local governments may become more business friendly.  The more businesses that New Hampshire has the more businesses paying the business profits tax.  The more businesses that New Hampshire has the more businesses paying property taxes helping local governments pay for schools, infrastructure, police, libraries, and other things.

I would like the state rooms and meals tax to be 5 percent and for local governments to have a 2 percent local rooms and meals tax.  If the rooms and meals tax is reduced, more tourists may visit New Hampshire and they may stay longer.

I would New Hampshire to stop taxing interest and dividends.  If New Hampshire stops taxing interest and dividends, small businesses and other businesses may have an easier time obtaining capital to create jobs and expand.  More high tech businesses and other businesses may create jobs in New Hampshire.

The more people working and the more money they make the less need for Medicaid, food stamps, and other things from government.

FEDERAL TAXES AND JOB CREATION

If the highest federal income tax on people and businesses is NOT greater than 15 percent, millions of jobs may be created in our country.  The more people working the more people paying the Social Security tax and the Medicare tax.  If the federal government reduces taxes on people and businesses, state governments will be better able to increase their taxes on people and businesses.  I think 50 state governments spend money a lot better on education, infrastructure, and many other things than the federal government.  If the federal government reduces taxes on people and businesses, California, New York, and many other states may want to have higher taxes on people and businesses than the federal government.

If the federal government and state governments stop taxing interest, dividends, capital gains, and estates, Americans and foreigners will be more likely to invest in small businesses and other businesses in our country creating jobs in our country.  Research and development that would help to increase innovations and economic development would be more likely to happen.  Capital flight to other countries is more likely to take place when the capital gains tax is increased.  Millions of middle class Americans and others who have 401(k) plans, IRAs, and investment accounts would likely see their investments increase in value over time.

It makes more sense for the federal government to have low sales taxes on many products to help pay for the military, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, infrastructure, education, energy transmission, energy development, broadband, buses, passenger rail, freight rail, and other things than it does to tax savings and investments.  Rich people, middle class people, and poor people would help to pay for the military and other things when they buy products made in our country and products made in foreign countries.

If the federal government wants more wealth and jobs to be created, the federal government needs to encourage wealth creation.  If the federal government wants more jobs to be created in the PRIVATE SECTOR, it needs to encourage more job creation in the private sector.

The federal government should stop taxing the foreign subsidiary earnings of US companies to encourage more investment in our country.  Many foreign countries allow their companies to bring the earnings they make in our country back into their countries tax free.

EXPANDING BUS SERVICE

I use Manchester Transit Authority buses.  The website for Manchester Transit Authority is http://www.mtabus.org .  Many routes have the last bus leaving Elm Street at 6:30 pm.  If many routes have the last bus leaving Elm Street at 8:30 pm or later, many people would be better able to work 9 to 5 jobs.  If Manchester has bus service to 10 pm or later and Sunday bus service, the sales and profits of many downtown businesses and other businesses may increase.  Manchester may attract more green businesses and other businesses.   If more people are working in Manchester and making more money, state government may be able to spend less on Medicaid and food stamps in Manchester.

Manchester Transit Authority might want to have text ads and possibly video ads on MCAM and MCTV.

WMUR and radio stations might want to have public service announcements dealing with buses.

I have posted comments dealing with buses under Discussions on the facebook page of Manchester Transit Authority which you may link to from http://www.mtabus.org

Many businesses might want to have promotions with Manchester Transit Authority.  They might want to give people who buy 10 ride tickets or unlimited monthly bus passes discounts.  The businesses might have more frequent customers.  Many restaurants may especially benefit from these promotions.

The Boston Express contract that State government is the customer for should have a stop at Manchester airport.

People may take the bus from Nashua to Logan and from Portsmouth to Logan.  I hope people will be able to take the bus from Nashua to Manchester airport and then downtown Manchester.  I hope people will be able to take the bus from Portsmouth to Manchester airport and then downtown Manchester.  This may increase the sales and profits of many downtown businesses.  Verizon Wireless Arena may have more customers.
