Some changes since the original post on my blog. It would appear that Acer has started to package skype for the Aspire One. The skype shell script can be found on the Acer Web Site. However this version of skype is the same as was installed by me back in September. Just a different installer of the same product? You be the judge. I find it interesting that several people have received comments from Acer that skype does not work on the AA1. Weird since they promote skype on their website. Some who have installed the rpm on my blog have suddenly? had their wireless connections stop working. This has NOT been my experience; wireless continues to work well in a number of environments (home, office, Hilton hotels, Starbucks). |
