In response to requests for a better way to send out notices to residents in our community, I've signed us up for "Twitter." The free internet service Twitter is useful for sending out very short messages (called "tweets"). These messages are publicly posted and available to everyone.
We won't send out messages very often—only when it seems prudent
to notify residents of pressing community problems or in emergencies.
To read Kempwood Civic Association Twitter messages:
- If you just want to read the messages:
You can click on the blue button on the sidebar. That will take you to the @KempwoodCivic Twitter web page and show you the messages that have already gone out.
- If you want messages sent to you when they are posted:
1. You can get every new message on your mobile phone by sending "follow KempwoodCivic" as a text message to 40404. Each new message will be sent to you as a text message (your mobile phone message fees apply). (or) 2.
On the @KempwoodCivic page you can click the button labeled "Follow" to sign up to receive tweets (messages) in your email, on your phone, or with Twitter apps on your Android, iPad, Blackberry, and other devices.
