Courses Taught in Fall 2011:

 Eng. V03 Basic English Composition         5 units

  • Meets M W 1:30 - 3:45.  
  • Required Texts:  Rules for Writers by Diana Hacker, 6th Edition  and  VC Voices 2011.  Both texts available in the VC Bookstore

Eng. V01A   College Composition, partially on-line      5 units

  • Two sections, meeting 75 minutes per week, with the balance of class work completed via internet. Our first meeting is a mandatory class orientation in the regularly scheduled classroom.
Required Texts: 
  • Harbrace Essentials. 1st Edition, with access code for the program Insite. (Available in the VC Bookstore or online from the publisher at CengageBrain.com .  Remember, you need both the Essentials handbook paper copy and the Access Code for Enhanced Insite)
  • VC Voices 2011 ( Available only in the VC Bookstore ). 
  • Outliers, by Malcolm Gladwell (available in the VC Bookstore, but you can get it elsewhere, or borrow it from the VC library)
