Kelly and Peter's Wedding
September 6, 2008

If I have used your picture without permission and you would like me to remove it or give you credit please page me on the Boston board.

We met in the spring of 2003.   Even though we went to high school together, we never really knew each other.  I was graduating from Brandeis University and Peter was serving in the U.S Army, stationed at Fort Eustis, Virginia. Peter came to Waltham on leave to visit his friend Dilo and Iwent out with them for the night. Peter told me he would drive all the way up for my graduation in a few weeks and even though I didn't believe him, he did!

We got engaged in January 2007.  Peter bought the ring before New Year's Eve and wanted to propose during the fireworks at midnight but I didn't want to go out that night - I hate First Night in Boston, it's cold and dark and you have to walk everywhere.  Pete was tired anyways so we didn't go out.  The next day, while he was at work, I found the ring!  And I tried it on.  He knew I found it, so for days we both wore each other down until finally, he asked me to marry him.

This is the e-ring and matching band from the Lieberfarb website.  I don't have a good pic on my finger.  I love it!  Pete's band is made up of his grandfather and great-grandfather's bands soldered together.

We are having a ceremony at my hometown church followed by a reception in an estate in the city where we both grew up.  My uncle is a priest and he is going to officiate.  This is extremely important to me because he married my parents and baptized me.  Our wedding colors are chocolate brown, green and white.

Dancing will be in this room

We are having a cocktail hour (really 45 minutes) with passed appetizers and food stations.  Peter is adamant that we serve Korean food as well (that's us in Seoul last year at the top of the page) because he was stationed there when he first joined the Army and he loves Korean food.  We have talked with a Korean restaurant in town and they can provide us with some additional dishes - Kimchee anyone?

I am planning on having a mix between these two centerpeices:

Heres the mockup the florist came up with (sorry for the camera phone picture) but the stems will be hidden with leaves:
