I live in Florida, with my husband of 5 years and 2 beautiful children. I truly believe God has taken me on a journey and led me right into this profession. About 8 years ago, I ventured into the Credit Counseling industry. I helped people consolidate debt and I learned a lot about credit, interest rates and their effects, revolving and non revolving debt, and so much more.  Three years later I decided to learn more about the mortgage industry
and was actually introduced into it by my cousin who said I would do
great as a loan officer. So, I then took courses and received my
certificate of completion and stayed in the mortgage industry for about
5 years. They tell you to pick a niche and learn as much as possible
about the type of people you will provide loans for. So with a lot of
hard work and determination, I decided to help people buy or refinance
their homes when they thought it was not possible because of their credit
situation. I would like to note that I did not take part in any
predatory lending and was 100% diligent with each and every client of
mine. Anyway, once the mortgage industry took a huge decline, I had to
back away from it all and find another means of income, that hopefully
would be rewarding to my soul. But, I ended up with odds and end jobs,
anything to make ends meet, while at the same time trying to think of a
career which would enable me to somehow help people. Until, one day after church, I was talking to my Bishop and a light bulb formed in my brain, and I blurted out to him that I am going to be a part of the foreclosure solution. I spent over 3 months researching companies, looking for the one that would REALLY help people, not just provide them with an immediate solution just to end up right back in the same predicament all over again. I found a great company to assist my clients with. But I felt there was still a missing piece of the puzzle. Finally, I decided to take it upon myself to find an array of Attorneys or Attorney Based companies so that I could provide a choice for my clients depending on what their unique predicament was. This turned out to be quite a challenge because boy is it hard to find legit help out there. I thoroughly researched 100's of companies and Attorneys, read 100's of contracts, and asked a gazillion questions. Finally, I was able to compile a handful of honest Attorneys/Attorney backed companies who fit within my guidelines (what I expect to be delivered to my clients) and passed my "legitimacy test". I even work from home, which allows me to be flexible for my family and my clients. Now I am able to provide exceptional services and feel 100% confident that my clients are in the best hands. And yes, this is chicken soup for my soul! |
