 Read, Read, Read!

Reading is vital to development in your academic career.  Every week I select a few books that I highly recommend you give a try.  Here my Reading List for the week!

Not interested in anything I suggested? Check out this reading list for some more ideas of great books.

Curious about some ideas for reading?  Check here for an annotated bibliography of great reads.  (It means it's a book list with a few sentences describing each literary work.)

Another annotated bibliography.

Unsure of the book you want to read but have some idea of a topic?  Browse through these two sites:

American Library Association

New York City's Public Library Reading List

Found a must read? Purchase it here.

My current book choice?  It's a collection of real journal entries from high school students from California.  They talk about battling gangs, dealing with death, homelessness, isolation, bullying, peer pressure, and much more.  It's 100% true!  It's entitled The Freedom Writers Diary: How 150 Students  Teens Used Writing to Change Themselves and the World Around them.  Purchase it here.
