ABSENCES

CLASS WORK AND MAKE-UP WORK (refer to the student/parent handbook for full details):

Students are responsible for their own work, completing their assignments, and submitting them on time.

If an assignment/test is scheduled for the day you return from an absence, and notice was given before your absence, you are expected to be prepared at the scheduled time.

Work and/or a test can only be made up with an excused absence using the following guidelines:

·         Any work due on the day you were absent must be turned in when you return without prompting from the teacher.

·         It is the responsibility of the student to request make-up work within five (5) days after an excused absence. Check the make-up work folder for assignments upon your return to school. Students are responsible for turning in all make-up work within five (5) days of their return. The grade for missed work will be entered as a ZERO and will be changed if the assignment is turned in within the five (5) day requirement.

·         Tests must be made up within five (5) days of an excused absence.

·         After the 5-day requirement, any incomplete work will remain a ZERO.
