About Me

I am excited to have the opportunity to work together to help provide the necessary foundation of skills that will best serve all of our students. I believe that the transition from school to work is very important; one of the main goals of getting an education is the preparation to enter the world and find successful and satisfying employment. In order to help our students succeed I will teach skills necessary for success in the work world and bring my background and experience to the classroom. Here is a little about me and the experience I bring to the classroom:

Ø      I am a CPA with 11.5 years of business experience; 3 years in public accounting and 8.5 years in various accounting/finance positions with The Coca-Cola Company. While completing my undergraduate degree in business I worked for IBM.

Ø      I am a founding member, and the treasurer of, an investment club that has been in existence since 1997.

Ø      I have a Masters of Arts for Teachers degree from the University of Georgia.

All of our students have the right to the best education possible, students should attend class regularly and arrive on time - absences are a major cause of failure in most classes. I expect students to conduct themselves by the Three R’s:  Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for self.

I encourage parents to volunteer time, resources, and suggestions to assist in supporting your student’s success in the programs at Collins Hill High School.
