Come hear a summary of the year and participate in election of new board members - there are 3 board members up for renewal. 21-Sep-2009 Tamarack Trail open The Tamarack trail which connects Doukhobor's with Whisky and other trails from the high point of the Malde Cr Road is now officially open for riding and hiking. Its a great addition to the KCTS network and provides a moderate downhill or somewhat strenuous uphill. After the hard work of a small but dedicated volunteer crew this past Saturday Stew Spooner (KCTS Trail Crew Boss) declared Drakes to be officially re-opened (see earlier article about its partial closure). There will be ongoing maintenance and improvements made but its now ready for riding or walking in either direction. Read More. 16-June-2009 Western Drake's Trail Closed By Land Access Issues KCTS has learned that the westernmost section of Drake's trail has been closed by the land owner. The closed section begins where Drake's leaves the access road that climbs up Deer Park Hill from the campground and includes the trail to the east for approximately half to one kilometer. The access road is gated just before the beginning of Drakes.
