Breaking News ...
The rules banning "Major Degrees" have been relaxed:
1. 1st/2nd/3rd degree "majors" will be permitted for the remainder of this fraternal year, but this will be reevaluated in June 2012.
2. To qualify for Star Council, councils must "host or participate in" at least 4 1st degrees a year. They do not have to have their own team, but must host the degree, or bring candidates to one somewhere else.
3. There is no charge for the 3rd degree staff ... Supreme pay their expenses, but the host council is reponsible for providing the Medallions.
These changes may cause last-minute modifications to the schedule, so please check with the host DD before bringing candidates.
Degree Results
Many thanks to all who participated in degrees in the 2010-2011 fraternal year.
Congratulations to St John's Collegeville Council, and DD Gary Maus for a successful degree on Saturday February 25th. 22 candidates joined the order in an Admission degree exemplified by council 12822. 30 candidates received the Formation degree exemplified by the Bishop Speltz staff, and then advanced to full Knighthood. Conferring Officer Phil Harter led the North-East Metro staff.
Congratulations to Gilman Council, and DD Rob Stay for a successful degree on Saturday March 3rd. Candidates joined the order in an Admission degree exemplified by council 9291. 9 candidates received the Formation degree exemplified by the Bishop Speltz staff, and then advanced to full Knighthood. Conferring Officer Marc Peters led the West Metro staff.
Congratulations to Rochester Holy Spirit Council, and DD Greg Sanders for a successful degree on Sunday March 4th. 20 Candidates joined the order in an Admission degree exemplified by the Holy Spirit council. 39 candidates received the Formation degree exemplified by the St Ignatius staff, and then advanced to full Knighthood. Conferring Officer Berry Hobbs led the South-East Region staff.
