The infant room was in full bloom the month of May! We had fun creating Mom’s day surprises and rainbows. We scribbled and stamped with our color of the month “Blue.” We practiced our sign which was “drink.” Texture books and rice bottles were great sensory activities. Wow, we were busy! In addition we had another graduate move to the toddler room. Everyone learned some fabulous skills in May. We all want to welcome our newest member to the infant room, and her family. She is so sweet and is just 3 months old. She is doing great! Onto June! June will be full of fun as we do a lot of outside summer stuff! We will visit the toddler playground as much as possible. Flying a kite is always great fun, and we’ll take a stab at that too! We will finger paint with green yogurt and create a wonderful art masterpiece as we tear green paper. As I’m sure you guessed “green” is our color of the month! Our sign will be “eat,” which is done by bunching hand (finger touching thumb) moving backwards and forwards to touch the mouth. Our books this month will include a favorite Moo, Baa, La La La! by Sandra Boynton. Minnesota Summers are great! Be sure to get out and enjoy them! ~The Infant staff
