INTRODUCTION

The literature we have read and the movies we have seen in our class about dystopia have been about fictional places and fictional people.

Reality, however, is much more stark than our novels have been, precisely because it has been experienced by so many real people. Having lived through, or been affeted by, societies such as Nazi Germany, or Franco's Spain, one is impacted more dramatically by the literature and the film of that period. This website will hopefully introduce and expand on what is probably the most vile of all dystopian societies.
