MUSIC

I am trained in Carnatic Music- Vocal and Percussion ( a form of Indian Classical music). Amongst the percussion instruments, I am originally trained in Mridangam, while I also play the Kanjira and the Ghatam (two other South Indian Drums). My guru is Ambattur Shri V. Rajasekar, a disciple of Shri. T V Gopalakrishnan and Shri T H Vinayakaram.

While at BITS Pilani, I was a member of Ragamalika, an Indian Classical Music club. I used to spend a lot of my spare time practicing music then. I have performed concerts both as a vocalist and as a percussion accompaniment on numerous occasions.

I also love listening to music. I listen to a lot of Carnatic, the likes of Sanjay, TMK, Neyveli. Like all my compatriots, I am a big fan of AR Rahman. I am also a huge fan of The Beatles and Pink Floyd.

SPORTS

Music apart, I love sports. I have enjoyed playing Cricket, Badminton and Tennis ever since my childhood. I was a member of my school cricket team during my 8^th-10^th grades (captain during my 10^th grade). Later, at BITS, Pilani, my interest shifted more towards Lawn Tennis, where I was a regular in the team during 2005 and 2006. I captained the BITS team to a Silver medal at our Home Sports meet (BITS OPEN SPORTS MEET, BOSM) in 2006.
