Shiatsu is a healing art form originated in Japan.  Shiatsu restores one’s self-healing ability by balancing one’s vital energy (Ki).  Through applying pressure to various parts of the body, the practitioner treats one’s meridian (pathways for Ki).

Shiatsu is beneficial as a treatment for a chronic illness as well as a preventative or recreational remedy. Shiatsu enhances one’s holistic health.

Kats D Fukasawa has been a Shiatsu practitioner in the Twin Cities since 2008.  Kats initially learned Shiatsu in India from his Japanese Butoh teacher.  Since returning to the US, Kats has been a student of Tao Shiatsu (
taosangha-na.com), a therapeutic Shiatsu technique developed by Ryokyu Endo in Japan.  Kats also practice Spring Forest Qigong (springforestqigong.com) and Subbody Butoh (www.subbody.net). Kats is a Tao Shiatsu Level One Practitioner.

The standard fee for a 75 minutes session is $50 (for house visit, add extra $15).

*Shiatsu is practiced lying on the floor with clothes on.  Please wear loose comfortable clothes for the appointment.

Please feel free to contact Kats to make an appointment.  For the available times, please check Calendar on this web site.  Please inquire about possible evening and weekends sessions.
