Katie Sews 4 u has a new web page! It has more features and easier navigating, but much of the same content (plus newer projects - and some for sale - that have not been added to this old site, as well as some new information about Katie). Click here to be transferred to the NEW SITE and remember to bookmark the new address once you're there!
Katie has been sewing since the first grade, which is where her dream of learning to quilt first appeared. She is a senior undergraduate university student in Ohio, where she studies flute performance and mathematics. Her aspiration is to teach math at the college level, continue to enjoy playing her flute, and learn and do as much sewing and quilting as time allows.
More about Katie's background...
Katie loves to sew, but unfortunately, she only has a need for so many purses and quilts. So, after a couple years of getting honest feedback from family, friends, and strangers (and being told many times that she should try to sell her work), she has finally decided to take their advice and create projects for others through commissioning. She has already done some commissioned purse and quilt projects for family and friends with great success, and cannot wait to expand her market! With her strong math background, she has become very good at estimating amounts of materials and cost, as well as figuring out overall projects' sizes. Getting to create projects for others makes her very happy because she gets to continue to sew, plan, and create functional items while also making other people happy.
I encourage you to take a look at some of my recent works to get a feel for what kind of projects I can create for you. If there's something that's not listed, feel free to contact me anyways, as it may be something I can create, but accidentally left out! Also, check out the rest of my pages for further information about me, my work, and how to contact me!
All of this sites' pages can be found in the top-left side panel of this homepage!
