Our Home

We have been renovating our home (built in 1945) with the help of my parents and their friend since June 2006. We gutted the interior down to the studs- one room at a time. The only things that are original to the house in the interior are the hardwood floors, the living room walls, and the bathtub.

(DIY lampshade above: I bought a regular white lamp shade and added the beading myself. I bought the beading at JoAnn Fabrics and added it to the shade with tacky glue.)

(I have a really tall shower stall, so most shower curtains are too short. I bought this one, cut off the bottom, sewed a 6 inch strip of fabric to it, then reattached the part I cut off.)
